 Steve Page, Managing Director

Steve provides strategic direction for the company and is a leading consultant who is actively involved in business improvement consultations, supporting a wide range of regional and blue chip organisations. Steve is accredited to deliver consultancy services for The  Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS YH), Business Link Yorkshire and is an approved provider on the East Riding of Yorkshire consultants standing list.     

Steve specialises in performing business reviews and interventions which are aimed at assisting organisations to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.  Steve's experience comes from moving up the ranks at BAE Systems, from an Engineering Apprentice, to International Business Manager. Thereafter Steve joined the Swift Group from 2000 to 2003 as the Business Improvement Consultant, before setting up PAGE Consulting Limited in 2003.  With a range of qualifications, including an Engineering Degree, a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

  Lisa Hall, Business Consultant

Lisa is a dedicated, self driven member of the PAGE Consulting Ltd team. With expertise in Customer Services, Business Improvement Techniques, People Development and Project Management. Lisa is currently studying to acquire a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. (PGCE) from the university of Huddersfield, developing and enhancing her skills as a Trainer and Consultant.

Lisa joined the Swift Group in 1999 and played a large part in a significant period of organisational change and subsequent growth, ranging from the development, launch and national roll out of a business to business website, the implementation of lean techniques, to the development and continuous improvement of the customer facing team, culminating in Lisa being awarded the Employee of the Year Award in 2002. During her time at the Swift Group, she was chosen to regularly represent the company, working alongside senior managers of First Choice, McDonalds, Homebase, Next and the Daily Telegraph.

 Neil Thomas,  Business Consultant

Neil is a passionate change operator who strives to achieve improvement. His track record of managing operations and achieving improvements for the most demanding of customers whilst reducing operational costs speaks for itself.  Having gained a wide range of skills and experience from operating at a senior level in different industries at blue chip companies, Neil is able to take a strategic view of business. This combines with the ability to develop and manage complex improvement projects, helped by his broad engineering background.

Neil's career has seen him working for instantly recognisable companies,  beginning as an Engineering Apprentice, developing skills and experience, resulting in senior management positions, including Works Manager, responsible for all site functions and supply chain activities.  In each position, Neil has brought about continuous improvement using Lean and world class tools & techniques.  Neil has supported his hands on experience, with a range of qualifications  including a Masters in Business Administration.

 Steve Appleyard, Business Consultant

With experience in both the private and public sectors, Steve is a facilitator of change, providing motivation, purpose and drive to all improvement projects. He has over 30 years of experience within a large, well known manufacturing company, deployed at different sites and fulfilling a succession of senior roles from Resource & Supplier Manager to the Quality Assurance Manager for large scale projects. 

Steve has  been instrumental in the development of both people and processes and excels at being able to understand the links and how they can be affected by change. This was clearly seen during his time with the NHS as the Project Manager responsible for the implementation of a web based system designed to aid in the reduction of accident and incidents. Steve's wealth of hands on experience is supported by qualifications including MSc in Quality Management, NEBOSH, HNC Mechanical Engineering, LRQA Lead Assessor and PGDip Community Development.

 Steve Anstice,  Environment & Energy Consultant

Utilising over 30 years experience in the electrical industry, Steve is able to carry out an extensive range of environmental audits for companies of all sizes. These are logged and verified by the IEMA for maintenance of his Environmental Auditor registration status.

Steve developed his career through project management into environmental management. Now a Chartered Environmentalist, a full member of the IEMA and a registered Environmental Auditor, he has assisted many companies to achieve and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) Certification.  With a wealth of experience in both public and private sector companies, developing carbon management programmes, renewable energy power stations and other renewable energy sources.

  John Quest,  Quality Assurance Consultant

John is a professional Management Consultant, having had many years experience in the design and implementation of quality, environmental management and personnel development systems.   John is proud to be one of a limited number of quality assurance consultants within the UK that possesses the knowledge and skill required to assist software development companies in the achievement of TickIT as part of their ISO 9001 registration requirements.

Prior to becoming a consultant, John was employed within the blue chip sectos of the shopfitting and high quality buildings interiors industry. Beginning his career as an apprentice and moving to hold positions in production management, contracts management, purchasing and as a Director controlling manufacturing and installation projects. John has enjoyed working with recognisable clients including Hilton National and International Hotels, Harrods of Knightsbridge, House of Fraser, the Disney Corporation, Disney Land Paris and the Civil Airports Authority at both Heathrow and Gatwick.

John specialises in the system design, management system and training on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001, ISO / IEC 27001, AS9100, BS7499, BS7858, TickIT, NACOSS, the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, the BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials and Investors in People.

 John Scruton,  Business Improvement Consultant

John has extensive manufacturing and operations experience in large multinational companies. He is a recognised leading practitioner in driving change through continuous improvement, supply chain logistics and progression to world class manufacturing standards.

With a BSC and PhD in Chemistry, John's career has included service with ICI Ltd, Glaxo Laboratories and CCL Industries, enjoying senior management roles both in this country and in Canada.  During his time in Canada in addition to his role as Assistant General Manager and Technical Director for CCL Industries, John also served as a Director of the Canadian Manufacturers of Chemical Specialities Association and as Chairman of the Production and Technical Section of the Canadian Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrance Association.  John returned to the UK to fulfil the role of MD for CCL Custom Manufacturing, increasing the company's operating profit by 25% in his first year in the role.   John now focuses upon offering his experience and support to companies within the Yorkshire and Humber region and is an accredited MAS YH consultant.

 Steve Hardy,  Business Consultant

Steve thrives on seeing a project through from start to finish, developing people, new contacts and experiences.  He excels in analysis and both written and verbal communication, skills developed during his time as an Aeronautical Engineer and later as a Senior Aerodynamicist, as Steve was responsible for employee development and the creation of training plans. 

Acquiring his PGCE qualification from Hull University in 2008, Steve has delivered National Diploma Courses to Mechanical Engineers at Hull College and BTEC Level 3 Diploma Courses to land based engineering students at Bishop Burton Agricultural College. 

 Chris Whitelock, Energy Consultant

Providing support to both the domestic and commercial sectors on how to reduce energy usage and made the best use of renewable energy technologies. Chris is passionate about delivering honest, informative and comprehensive knowledge regarding the fast emerging, and therefore sometimes confusing renewable energy markets. 

Throughout his career Chris has been involved in the management of both systems and people. After graduating in 1990 from Salford University with a BA hons degree in Geography, Chris has enjoyed a varied career, providing him with insights to both the commercial and non profit making sectors, moving from the Donor Relations Manager for an aid agency, to the role of UK General Manager for an international music publishing company which saw him travel extensively to the United States, Europe and Africa managing publishing and marketing agreements.
